Great Wall of Gerber

How long do you think it will take an 8-month-old to eat this?

There was a sale at Publix recently that at least in appearance, caused me to lose all sense and reason. Over the course of several trips (in my defense, these were several days apart as the sale has been quite long), I've been buying up a large amount of baby food at a significant discount. The clerks are always shocked by the quantity, which I don't understand. Do other babies not eat like mine?

So I've done the math, and this is approximately a three-week supply for Sophie! Pretty shocking, isn't it, that all of this food will be consumed by that little body in that span of time?!?

So, what do you think? Is this an unreasonable accumulation? Am I going to be one of those little old ladies that buys huge vats of mayonaise and pickles from Costco?

I don't know if I should even comment on this because although my last name is Walkenhorst...I am a Flanigan at heart. Therefore, you know where I stand. If you see a good deal, take it and write about!! It is crazy to see how much Sophie eats.

Kathy,

You and your good deals! I love it. I hope one day that I can acheive your great ability of getting all the good deals available. No one else I know really cares when I get a great deal. So it makes me happy to see that you got one!

My most recent "good deal" was Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner. JC Penney was selling a package of 1 liter shampoo with 1 liter of conditioner for $12.50. That was 1/2 price! Then I had a coupon, so I got the set for less than $10! I was so happy! That's Suave prices!

Anyway, I probably would have bought more baby food than that if I had been you. I can't believe that your little girl will go through all that food in 3 weeks!!! That's nuts. I'm in for a rude awakening whenever we have kids.

I love reading your blog. Thanks for sharing it with me.

I found your blog! I love this post! That is basically what it looked like when I went to the store each week to get food for the girls. I think everyone there thought I was crazy! We hope to see you soon!
