Look very closely at the picture above and you'll see... absolutely nothing. Apparently when you buy a deluxe sea monkey kit at TJ Maxx (not really known for their pet department) on clearance for $3, the eggs aren't quite as fertile as you might hope.
So our Sea Monkey tank is waiting for new tenants, which are on order from eBay. If we can actually manage to hatch any of these critters, we have an aerator, a key chain they can live in, and a Sea Monkey "leash" (which looks suspiciously like the aerator - I think they may have had a few extras on hand at the Sea Monkey factory and decided to throw another in with a different name).

This post reminded me of Baby Turtle. I bet your kids would love a baby turtle.
Just let me know and I will bring them a baby turtle of their own.
GRANDMA HAS A BABY TURTLE SHE CAN BRING THE KIDS IF THEY WANT ONE.
That's OK!! I think between Sea Monkeys, Cocker mixes and live-in aunts we have enough pets right now. (Thanks, Amy, for opening up that can of worms!)
:)
Wow, I am really sorry. I had no idea there were such passionate feelings on both sides of the baby turtle debate. So, what I meant to say is maybe this will prepare your kids for a baby turtle in the distant future. Because we know you have to be very responsible and clean a baby turtle's cage regularly or it can really smell up a dorm room!
