Red-Shirted!

We're just emerging (I hope) from a three-week period in which Will requested to wear "red-only shirts." It seems that our toy kitchen is Chuck E. Cheese's, and the larger toys in his room represent arcade games. And apparently, all Chuck E. Cheese employees wear red shirts. Solid red shirts. I've had to make several accomodations for this phase:

1) Finding a couple of new "red-only shirts" at a consignment sale
2) Allowing Will to wear a dressy red sweater vest when all his red-only shirts were dirty (Emily commented he must have been promoted to management!)
3) Even turning red shirts with designs on them wrong side out so they will meet his red-only requirement.

I am optimistic this phase has passed, and hopefully some of his other clothes will get some wear again.

P.S. Immediately after posting this, I took Will to our room to help him get dressed. He requested red-only again. {sigh}

Mom: I don't think this red-only thing is a good idea. You aren't getting to wear any of your other nice clothes.

Will: Just put them in a consignment sale. I don't need them.

{sigh}

I'm sure Home Depot was disappointed to lose such a valuable (and orange wearing) employee.

Shrebega, just don't bother buying any 4T shirts for Kingston - we've got you covered.
